KVProxy Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 26, 2026

KVProxy (“KVProxy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a managed proxy service that enables mobile application developers to securely route API requests without embedding third-party API keys in client applications (the “Service”), along with a web-based developer dashboard used to configure and monitor that service (the “Dashboard”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use KVProxy. By accessing or using the Service or Dashboard, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to our websites
  • Registered users of the Dashboard
  • API traffic routed through the KVProxy Service

It does not apply to third-party services that you choose to integrate through KVProxy. Your use of those services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account and Administrative Information

When you create or manage a KVProxy account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Organization or project name
  • Communications you send to us (e.g., support requests)

If you subscribe to a paid plan, billing and payment details are handled by our third-party payment processor. KVProxy does not store full payment card numbers.

2.2 Service Operation and Telemetry Data

To operate the Service and provide visibility in the Dashboard, KVProxy processes limited metadata associated with API requests routed through the Service. This may include:

  • Request timestamps and endpoints
  • HTTP methods and response status codes
  • Network-level metadata such as originating IP address
  • Aggregate request counts and usage metrics
  • Performance characteristics (e.g., latency, payload size)

For troubleshooting purposes, response bodies may be temporarily stored only for failed requests (for example, responses with HTTP status codes indicating errors).

KVProxy is intentionally designed to avoid capturing authentication secrets. We do not intentionally collect or store API keys, Authorization headers, or bearer tokens in logs or analytics systems.

2.3 Developer Configuration Data

We store configuration information you explicitly provide, such as:

  • Proxy routing rules and replacement mappings
  • Environment settings (e.g., development vs. production)
  • Usage limits, alert thresholds, and security controls
  • Project identifiers used to associate requests with your account

This data is necessary to deliver the Service as configured.

2.4 Cookies and Session Technologies

We use cookies or similar technologies to:

  • Authenticate Dashboard users
  • Maintain session state
  • Protect against unauthorized access

Cookies are not injected into, read from, or modified within API traffic passing through the Service.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

3.1 Deliver the Service

  • Authenticate users and provision accounts
  • Route and process proxied API requests
  • Display usage, diagnostics, and alerts in the Dashboard

3.2 Maintain Reliability and Security

  • Monitor system health and performance
  • Detect misuse, abuse, or anomalous behavior
  • Investigate operational failures and security incidents

3.3 Communicate With Users

  • Respond to support inquiries
  • Send service-related notifications
  • Notify you when usage approaches or exceeds plan limits

3.4 Legal and Contractual Compliance

  • Enforce our terms of service
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of KVProxy and its users

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

KVProxy does not sell personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We rely on third-party vendors for infrastructure, analytics, and payment processing. These providers process data solely on our behalf and are contractually obligated to safeguard it.

4.2 Legal Obligations

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to lawful requests from public authorities.

4.3 Corporate Events

If KVProxy undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality protections.

5. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide and support the Service
  • Meet legal and regulatory requirements
  • Resolve disputes and enforce agreements

Operational logs and telemetry may be retained for limited periods and may be aggregated or anonymized over time.

6. Security Practices

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet carries inherent risks.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Account Information

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. We may require verification of your identity before fulfilling such requests.

7.2 European Data Protection Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability.

7.3 California Privacy Rights

California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act). KVProxy does not sell personal information and does not discriminate against users for exercising their rights.

8. Children’s Information

KVProxy is not intended for use by children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age required by applicable law.

9. International Data Transfers

KVProxy is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.

10. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when posted. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
